The PADAG project targets support to some 55,000 households or an approximate total of 360,000 people located in Pole G, in western Guinea. It aims to support agricultural activity in the rice, oil palm and horticulture sectors. The project also includes components for capacity building, agricultural production processing and the rehabilitation of 270 km of roads and tracks linking Dabola, Faranh, Kissidougou Kourousssa, Kankan and Mandiawa. Heveco is a Congolese company created 8 years ago with the aim of reviving agro-forestry in the department of Lékoumou. It is the result of a public-private partnership between a private company and the Congolese government represented by the Ministry of Industry. The concession covers an area of more than 100,000 ha on which rubber trees, coffee trees, cocoa trees, banana trees... are now cultivated on the site in combination with protected areas that are the subject of a carbon credit project.
